HRD Ministry Calls Special Meeting of IIT Council on 27th June
After the verdict of ‘reject’ from IIT Kanpur and IIT Delhi, HRD ministry has called upon a special emergency meeting of IIT council on 27th June. In a press release, HRD ministry said, “The uncertainty faced by the student community, consequent to the resolutions of the Senates of IIT Kanpur and IIT Delhi, requires to be addressed. On 21st June, IIT Delhi also joined and declared that they will conduct a separate entrance examination in 2013. IIT Delhi also decides to go IIT Kanpur way. ‘Reject’ is the verdict announced by the IIT Delhi senate in a meeting today, 21 June 2012. It is confirmed. ISEET will replace both IIT JEE and AIEEE conducted by CBSE.
