As per a press release by HRD Ministry, “A Joint Entrance Examination for admission to the undergraduate programmes in engineering would be conducted in two parts, JEE-MAIN and JEE-ADVANCED. Recent oppositions by many IITs had led to a state of confusion on implementation of ISEET in 2013. Although HRD is very keen to start this common engineering admission test from 2013, the resistance is coming from all quarters.
