Maharashtra Getting Prepared for ISEET after Scraping MH-CET
There has been few doubts over the implementation of ISEET as single engineering entrance examination across all the states. However, it seems like gradually more and more states are preparing to shift from existing state examinations to ISEET. As announced by the ministry of HRD, ISEET will replace IIT JEE and AIEEE starting from 2013, and will gradually replace all state examinations. ISEET Scores Valid for Two Years
Starting in 2013, all the centrally funded engineering institutes will use ISEET and Class XII board marks for admission to BE, BTech, and other engineering programmes. ISEET will be conducted in two parts – Main and Advance- on a single day. Most States Agreed to ISEET as Common Entrance Test
Most States have “in principle” endorsed the proposal for a common national examination for engineering with effect from 2013, with weightage to State Board results. However, Tamil Nadu, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, Puducherry and West Bengal sought more time to study the proposal in detail. Weightage Formula for ISEET Yet to be Decided
ISEET will change the way of admission to engineering across the country. Class 12th board marks will have a significant amount of weightage in admission process. From 2013, ISEET will replace Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) for all the IITs and AIEEE for all IIITs and many deemed universities.
